Statewide Procurement: State and Local Government Coordinated Sourcing
Ikaso supported a State’s Central Procurement Office (CPO) with the strategic planning and development of an annual roster of solicitations for Statewide contracts. Ikaso was engaged to lead the sourcing of select solicitations either due to their high volume of historical use by local government, or their potential for increased local adoption.Ikaso provided end-to-end procurement support services for each solicitation on the annual roster.
The Challenge
Developing and executing a procurement strategy across a varied set of statewide contracts - each requiring different timelines, market considerations, and input from both State and local stakeholders.
The Outcome
The coordinated sourcing model strengthened the State’s procurement strategy by improving consistency across solicitations, increasing opportunities for contract utilization by local governments, and contributing to cost-effective contract outcomes. The effort continues to support more streamlined, transparent, and efficient procurement processes statewide beyond Ikaso’s engagement.
